On May 26, 1964, the first Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia, chaired by Teodoro de Rinaldini, took office in the council chamber of the Town Hall.
On August 31, 1964, the President of the Regional Council, Alfredo Berzanti, promulgated the first regional law on the “Composition of the Regional Council and powers of the Presidency of the Regional Council and Regional Departments.”
The Agency for Rural Development - Ersa (Regional Law No. 15 of July 18, 1967) has its roots in the first legislature, when it was established as the Regional Agency for Agricultural Development.
Other significant legislative measures include the first comprehensive legislation on the organization of the offices of the Regional Council and the Regional Administration with Regional Law No. 22 of March 28, 1968.
